He was born in Budapest, in 1930. After obtaining his degree in civil engineering for 15 years he was a lecturer at the Budapest University of Technology at the Department of Bridge Construction Theory and also carried out design and scientific research work. During this period he was the author or co-author of about 50 publications in the field of the adhesive bonding of metals, aluminium structures, the aesthetics of bridges and the history of the technical sciences. In the first half of the 1960's he started to do translation work in German and English for DANUBIA Patent Office, where he started to work in 1966 as a patent attorney intern, and in 1968, after obtaining qualifications in Hungarian and international patent and trademark law, he became a patent attorney. In 1973 he was the founder and the first patent attorney of ADVOPATENT Office of Patent and Trademark Attorneys.
He has been a member of the Hungarian Group of the AIPPI since its foundation, and he is also a member of the Hungarian Trademark Association and the Hungarian Association of Industrial Rights and Copyright Protection, at the conferences of which he regularly gives lectures. Presently he is a member of the Hungarian Association of Industrial Rights Protection and a member of the Disciplinary and Ethical Committees of the Hungarian Chamber of Patent Attorneys. He speaks English and German.
